RCMP
The Pas RCMP arrested four people in connection with an armed home invasion that happened earlier this month on 7th Street East.
Here’s what went down. More details are available according to the original report. On February 10th at 6:50 in the morning, a 37-year-old man invited four people into his home. That’s when things went sideways fast.
One of the visitors pulled out a modified firearm and demanded money from the homeowner. The victim managed to get out of the house without getting hurt and called 911 right away.
The four suspects took off on foot after the robbery.
Police Dogs and Surveillance Footage Lead to Arrests
RCMP officers didn’t mess around. They pulled surveillance camera footage from several houses in the area to get descriptions of the suspects. Related: Canadians are pretty done with America right now, poll shows
With help from RCMP Police Dog Services, they tracked down all four people and arrested them without any drama. Police also found and seized the modified gun that was used in the robbery.

Investigation Continues
The Pas RCMP are still working on the case, so there might be more details coming out.
The victim was able to flee from the residence without injury and called 911 immediately.
Honestly, this whole situation shows how quickly things can go wrong when firearms get involved. The homeowner was smart to get out and call for help instead of trying to be a hero.
Can you imagine inviting people into your house and having one of them pull a gun on you?
That’s got to mess with your sense of safety at home.
At least the RCMP response was solid. Using surveillance footage from neighbours and bringing in the police dogs shows they took this seriously from the start. The fact they caught all four suspects and recovered the weapon on the same day is pretty impressive police work, if you ask me.
Look, we don’t know what led up to this invitation or what the relationship was between these people. But when someone shows up at your door and you let them in, you shouldn’t have to worry about getting robbed at gunpoint.
